We stopped by Carnitas El Momo around 11:30am for an early lunch, and let me tell you — we were full until dinner! Portions are super generous and everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The service was polite and helpful, though perhaps a bit more reserved or shy compared to other places we visited (especially considering we’re Spanish speakers too). As European tourists, we were excited to chat and connect a bit more — but that’s just a tiny detail in an otherwise great experience. We also learned new terms like “cuerito” (thanks for the vocab lesson!) and ended up going with the mixed carnitas platter on the staff’s recommendation — totally worth it. Next time we’re in LA, this will definitely be one of our first stops again!

This is the only place you need when you want absolutely incredible tacos. The place is small and inviting. The service is great and the staff is friendly. The food is outrageously outstanding! The tacos are huge. The meats are all tender, savory, and heavenly unctuous. I highly recommend the burnt ends (migajas) carnitas bowl.

Best carnitas in town! Simple interior with a few tables. A small side patio with additional seating. The carnitas are so juicy. The tacos come with plenty of meat. They also have some trucks that you can look up on IG for their location. Service was good. Small parking lot in front or there's street parking.

Carnitas are super juicy and fresh the tacos are packed with huge portion of meat. The flavor is mid though. But glad they have a sit down spot with some parking in a strip mall. Very clean and organized Bathroom is outside so you need a key to open So if you washed your hands you have to carry the not so clean back.

Amazing Taco! However, we had to wait for the tortillas to arrive, which made us wait longer than usual. The taco is overall delicious and enjoyable!!! Will come here again next time!

Came in about an hour before closing so they only had maciza and buche available. I was a little disappointed but I understand the limited menu as they aim to sell out when they close. I ordered the torta with maciza. It was a hefty portion of food but the meat was a little dry. The salsas had run out so I got the very last of the green salsa. I’d been hoping to try this place out for a while but unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. The space is a decent size. There were only a couple of other people there at the time. Staff was friendly which was a plus. I’ll have to come back closer to when they open and maybe try the tacos. Hoping for a better experience.

It was good but very very veryyyyyy oily. Extremely saturated but besides that it was good. Got the burnt end tacos. When we went on a Saturday for lunch it wasn’t that busy but the counter was a mess full of salsa spilled everywhere and tables not bussed and dirty. Maybe the original place is better than the actual restaurant. I’d like to try again.

THE best pork tacos of my LIFE! (and I'm over 50 & I've lived in SoCal for 20+ years) The staff is smiling and helpful. The space is small & simple, like the menu which is a great example of "less is more". The food however is HUGE! In portion size & in experience. The meat is tender, juicy, unctuous & delicious sticky perfection! (iykyk) I highly suggest the Aporkalypse! If not that then a 50/50 mix of the pork butt & burnt ends!!!! The combination is other worldly. Thank you Carnitas El Momo! I wholeheartedly confess, I am now ruined for all other roasted pork. #momo
